Community Life at First Alliance
Being part of a church is more than just showing up for a Sunday Worship service. It involves jumping in and getting to know others. Knowing others makes it a little easier to jump into some of our discipleship opportunities for children, youth, and adults and opportunities to serve. Here are some of the ways you can take a next step in doing that:
-
There are multiple ways you can connect with others in prayer. Not only is prayer a normal part of worship opportunities (for all ages), Discipling Communities, and Ministry Teams, but there are some specific times you can gather with others for intentional prayer. Currently, they include:
Prayer for Revival - Wednesdays @ 12:00 pm in the Sanctuary
Missions-Focused Prayer Community - Wednesdays @ 6:30 pm in the Worship Center Conference Room
Men’s Prayer Gathering - Saturdays @ 8 am Worship Center Library
-
Coffee & Connection happens Sunday mornings between services in the Fellowship Hall. This is a weekly time of fellowship, connection, and getting to know one another whether you've been at First Alliance for a long time or a very short time. A selection of beverages is provided to enjoy. *Currently not happening due to COVID-19 parameters.
-
Gather weekly with others of all ages for biblical fellowship built around God’s Word, hymns, and personal testimonies. Sunday evenings at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall from September - May.
-
On the 4th Friday of each month, September - May, our women meet for food, fun, and fellowship. Women of all ages are invited to join this group
-
Alliance Women at First Alliance Church is part of a multigenerational, world wide group of women throughout the Christian & Missionary Alliance who strive to be devoted disciples that “live the Word, do the work, and reach the world to the glory of God.” All women at FACT are Alliance Women.
Alliance Women typically meet monthly at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall On the second Saturday of the month. Women of all ages are welcome to take a next step in discipleship by igniting a passion for the lost around the world and in our own community as we hear from International Workers and focus on local ministries. You will have opportunities to pray intentionally for the lost and trust God to lead you in giving your time, abilities and resources to His work locally and globally.
-
All men who are part of a Christian & Missionary Alliance church like First Alliance Church are considered Alliance Men.
Some of the opportunities for Alliance Men include:
Weekly opportunity for prayer every Saturday morning at 8:00 am (except the 2nd Saturday of the month)
Monthly Saturday breakfast September through May (2nd Saturday of the month)
Men Discipling Communities for connection, fellowship, encouragement, equipping & support
