A big THANK YOU to the church family for a very successful Pumpkin Patch and Trunk or Treat event. Thanks to all who helped unload the truck, set up the patch, decorate, gave your time to sell pumpkins, donated candy, decorated trunks, provided a hayride, served our guests, talked to people and invited them to church, and helped set up and clean up. We could not have had such successful events without all the helping hands. Most of all, FACT, thanks for being a loving serving body to our community.

The Alliance Women's Fun Run will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 9:00 am at Gate Cottage on the campus of Toccoa Falls College. This year the cost will be $30 per person, $15 per student, or $70 per family. All proceeds will benefit Open Arms Clinic in Toccoa and the Alliance Women's National Project. A T-Shirt will not be guaranteed on registrations received after October 30, 2026. You can register at https://www.factoccoa.com/funrun. 

There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Reba Harney on Sunday, November 22 at 2:30 pm in the Sanctuary. 

Our church is hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner for Developmentally Disabled Adults on Tuesday, November 24.  We will need people to donate needed food items as well as volunteers to help with set-up the day before, serving food, mingling with the AVITA guests, and clean up after the meal. Sign-up sheets are available in the foyer for food donations and volunteers as well as other details. 

Our campus will be closed November 25-30 for the Thanksgiving holiday. On Wednesday, November 25, there will be noon prayer time. There will be no activities at the church Wednesday evening. We will have the Celebration of Life for Julio Vena on the 28th. 

There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Julio Vena on Saturday, November 28 at 4:00 pm in the Sanctuary.

First Alliance will again present a Live Nativity at the annual Toccoa Christmasfest on Friday, December 4 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. If you would be interested in being part of the live nativity, please let Jarvis know by November 29. We need Mary, Joseph, shepherds, and an angel for one-hour slots. The church will provide the costumes.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service for David Arnold on Saturday, December 5 from 3:00 - 5:00 in the Fellowship Hall. 

MONTHLY PRAYER FOCUS – Thankfulness

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; his love endures forever.” Pray that this command of Scripture, which appears multiple times, would take root in our hearts. Pray that we would have an ongoing awareness of the blessings of the Lord (like His presence with us, His answers to prayer, and His provision of our daily needs) and that all things come from Him. Pray that we would not take the Lord or His goodness for granted and that we would foster an attitude of thanksgiving that endures year-round. Pray that we would be a grateful people in all circumstances and that this gratefulness would be a blessing and testimony to others. In our prayers and worship, may thanksgiving be always present.
