January is National Mentoring Month. Could you give an hour a week to engage the world locally and make a difference in the life of a child in the local school system? There are currently students waiting for a mentor to be present, listen, help, and encourage. Many of them ask daily if they have a mentor yet. Mentors make a difference in the lives of otherwise at-risk students. Applications are available at the Welcome Center or contact Nancy Ekback at firstname.lastname@example.org. A background check is required, and training is provided. You can make a difference in the life of a student as you engage the world locally.
