#FACTFAMILY NEWS

We want to congratulate our 2024 High School Graduates: Wyatt Hammons, Madeline Hull, Bryan McLaughlin, Kalli Moore, and Isabel Rockwell. We’re proud of you, Class of 2024! SCHS Commencement will be Friday night, May 24 at 8:00 pm in the SCHS Stadium.

We will be having a Membership Meeting, Sunday, May 26 after the morning worship service. If you are a member, we need you to attend. We will be electing officers and approving the budget at this meeting. Please note that the date is May 26.

Summer Camps
Camps are for children ages 4-12. All sessions run from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Below is the schedule. More information about how you can help will be coming out soon.

Volleyball Camp … June 3-7
Basketball Camp … June 17-21
Soccer Camp … June 24-28

We need helpers to run these summer camps. If you can help, please sign  up on the bulletin board by the Prayer Room, or talk with Pastor Terry. 

Powertime Camp will be here before we know it. We wanted to make sure you have your calendars marked for June 10-15, 2024. These are the dates for this summer's Powertime Camp, and we want your students to be there! More information can be found HERE. 

Baby Bottle Boomerang for Toccoa Life Pregnancy Center will be underway until June 16! Be part of supporting this vital local ministry that champions life and helps families succeed. Take home an individually wrapped baby bottle. Fill it with loose change and dollars (or a check written to TOCCOA LIFE, not FACT). Or give online at Toccoalife.org. Return bottles on Father’s Day, June 16th. 

New Discipling Communities coming this Fall! If you are interesting in facilitating a group starting after the Summer please reach out to Pastor Luke. The Discipling Community can be focused on the study of scripture, prayer, fellowship, or anything else that involves living out the deeper Christian Life together!

We are also now looking for Discipling Community Hosts! There are those who would like to lead a group, but do not have the space to host. If you're interested and able to host a discipling community in any capacity, please reach out to Pastor Luke!

IW of the Month

Brian and Abby Lindsay

• We are visiting our cell group in the Kok Sangna village for the last time. Please pray that we say our goodbyes well, and that our Thai ministry partners will feel empowered to continue the ministry on their own.

• We have 2 weeks left to pack up our whole home and put it in storage. Pray that we can get it all done.

• Pray for Brian as important discussions take place at his last Field Leadership Team meetings before home assignment  on May 22-23.

• Our kids are asking a lot of questions about going home assignment and expressing some worry. Pray that we can help them to transition well.

Monthly Prayer Focus

PRAY FOR Partner Ministries

• Child Evangelism Fellowship – Good News Clubs – Pray for more kids to be involved and for the Good News of Jesus to be accepted by them. Pray for more volunteers at each site and for the ability to have more locations open through more volunteers.

• Christian Learning Center – Pray for the current students taking classes. For the followers of Jesus, they would grow deeper in their walk. For those not yet following Jesus, they would come to know Him as their Savior and Lord. Pray for the finances of their new location.

• Jail Ministry – Pray those in the jail would come to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord and they would continue to walk with Him when they are released. Pray for those presenting Jesus through weekly Bible studies.

• Open Arms Clinic – Pray for an increase in patients. Pray for wisdom for the staff. Pray for opportunities to love the patients with the love of Jesus.

• Toccoa Life – Pray for those seeking assistance, for the mother, the father, and the baby. Pray for strength to walk through the curriculums available to them. Pray for wisdom for the staff and volunteers. Pray for the finances of their new location.

• Envision Atlanta – Pray for the staff as they settle into their new roles. Pray for the summer interns coming in to help with the ministry of EA. Pray for the groups coming in each week over the summer. Pray for those EA is reaching, that they would come to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

Container update (from the recent Urgent Prayer Requests): Sadly, it was discovered that the shipping containers sent to Hope Medical Center, a CAMA outreach in Africa, were indeed on a list to be auctioned. To release them, the center’s staff must have the signature of the country’s head health official. Thus far, he has not signed the paperwork, and the staff are not sure why. Please pray also that the port charges that have accumulated over these many months will be forgiven. Since roofing for a new building is in one of the containers, the construction project is on hold. While praying for this situation, a CAMA staff member felt assured to stand still and see the glory of the Lord.

Creative-Access locations

Pray for the child of a worker couple who suffered a head fracture during a fall. The little girl was hospitalized and is now home, but she has been in excruciating pain. Please pray for her as she recovers. Pray also for no more mishaps as her brain heals. Pray for grace for her parents as they try to keep their daughter calm during her recovery.
